Manuscript on vellum, with initials in blue. First line: A come amor linuita. The text is incomplete; it begins in the midst of canzone 129 (Di pensier in pensier) and breaks off in the midst of Trionfo del tempo. Bound in worn brown leather over boards.

Francesco Petrarca (b. July 20, 1304, Arezzo, Italy–d. July 19, 1374, Arquà, Italy), commonly anglicized as Petrarch, was a scholar and poet of Renaissance Italy who was one of the earliest humanists.
